More Nature Notes from Garden Cam

Image
I am back with some more garden antics for you! So first of all we discovered that Doris really likes to be the last one to bed and the first one up in the morning. I think maybe she plans how she is going to wind the crows up for the day. Her fluffy little butt looks so cuddly in that final photo, I want to pull on her tail so I can tuck it under my wing - but mummy says I am not allowed to stick my feet out to catch the other pets :(  Or actually - it is usually the Magpie that goes into her run with her. They have a love/hate relationship. Sometimes Dois will let the Magpie route around in her run, then other times she will chase it as soon as she sees it, and then still other times she gets chased by a very annoyed Magpie. The other day she hunkered down by the fence just watcing the Magpie and then ran away when the Magpie approached her - like I said love/hate relationship. Mummy keeps a close eye on them to ensure Magpie is not causing Doris any distress though.

And yet more murders

...of crows of course :) The crows became obsessed with this feeder. I think the penut stuff must be really tasty. I don't have the heart to tell them it is supposed to be for the little birds like the blue tits, wagtail or robin. They are just having far too much fun with it.  We tried videos on the camera for the first time on this day, so here are a couple of them, so you can really get a feel for the crows obsession.  And the magpie is apparently not even allowed the fat ball, because it is too near the feeder!!  But the Magpie proves to be much more efficient at getting to the peanut butter stuff. These two are much more graceful than the crows, but they are not as comical either. They would be like a Galah is to me :) These videos were a little long (the second one was cropped haha). So on the 8th Doris was a dirty stop-up. Or it may just be that mummy moved the camera and she kept setting it off, and she is always a dirty stop-up haha.  We g

Yup they just keep coming!

I have more Nature notes from the garden for you today. I do so enjoy telling people about the antics of my friends, and it is great that mummy now has photos so that she can see too. Mummy had to work at the weekend so I didn't get to see her much - and she is now working through until Friday, but then she is off Friday afternoon. She has spent the evening with me, but only after she played wit the tarantulas - how rude is that? I am far more important as I actually want her to spend time with me. She tried to say it was just to feed them, but I am not sure it should take that long if that is the case! There are not many photos from the 6th (which was Gav Gavs birthday and mummy and Gav went out to Bristol Zoo for the day). The magpie was the early morning visitor, as it often is.  The crows then spent lots of time playing with the peanut feeder, and we caught some good action pictures! The wagtail did visit but I didn't relly notice it much due to the crows making such a
