What happened through the first half of July...

...well first off the weather brightened up a little bit at last. Although I do have to admit to quite liking seeing the birdies outside all fluffed up in the wet, whilst I am nice and snug indoors (especially those naughty crows!).

Mr Wagtail is still visiting the garden, but not as regularly anymore - I guess he has his hands full with the fledglings - teaching them to forage through the woods.
And Doris was a little terror when mummy went out to a BBQ and left her having the run of the garden - but she does the innocent face so well! You wouldn't think she had burrowed under the garden gate and gotten onto the front street!!






 Anyway, the hedgehog is once again a regular visitor to the garden, but we haven't heard the second hedgehog coming in as yet. Mummy wants to make a hedgehog house and get some proper hedgehog food also (although I am sure there are plenty of slugs - you only have to watch the nature cam to see that!).
 The Blackbird wanted to pose for the camera, so I had to include his photo. He is such a little sweetie this one - and the female is into everything (but she is not often captured on the camera).
 Then the camera caught this! The daddy crow is one of last years babies, and he is bringing his chick into the garden too!!!
 He has even picked up his dads habits - and I guess is training his baby to steal the whole fat ball too - after all, why would any of the other birds want any???
And here is the little lady - camera shy.
 Just some more photos to show daddy and baby antics, and the hedgehog again.


Oh and we got camera evidence that the rats are still entering the garden - but we do not see them often so the babies have obviously moved on.


The camera even caught a butterfly on camera!


Right GavGav has come downstairs to pop me to bed now - so enjoy the photos and I will be back once we have figured out what the problem with the camera is!

Let's finish up May

Starting off with a couple of videos of the Blue tits before the babies fledged. They were in and out constantly!! Then we had Mr greedy crow, showing off to the camera about how many suet balls he can fit into his beak at once haha. This Magpie was finding something very tasty - we are pretty certain it was the live mealworms mummy put out and not a baby blue tit though. This little madam was winding the Blue Tits up - luckily the baby's were at the fledging stage before she found the nest! Some pictures of the pairs coming into the garden. Then the wagtails started bringing the babies in :) Flopped Doris! Just thought this was a great picture. And some baby pictures, as well as the blackbirds and hedgehogs. Right bedtime xxx

Moving into those April showers

We are nearly at the end of the March pictures and moving into the rather soggy end of March, beginning of April lol. It has dried up a little bit again now though. The crows love trying to get the suet feeder down off the feeding station - although it is a little more difficult with the top from the other bird feeder in there also haha. We got our first hedgehog into the garden at the end of March too!! And on April fools day this crow was having great fun with the fat ball hahaha Mummy also wanted to get some pictures of the Magpies eating at the peanut flutter butter feeder - and there are some great pics. And we caught the blue tits on camera!! Mummy got very excited when she saw this! Well anyway I need to head to bed and let mummy get the latest photo's off the camera! Bye-bye!

Spider drops

Ooh hello everybody, Have you come here from mummy's blog? To find out about this picture It is a pretty poor picture as the camera refused to focus on the tiny little spider. So GavGav got interested in spiders over a year ago now. He still has a slight phobis of them, but his way of overcoming it is to find out more aboout them, and the fear transforms into interest instead. It seems to be working as he likes to go out with his sonic toothbrush, making the spiders lunge out to try and grab it, and he has also got himself two taratulas. Hmm it would appear that we do not have any photos of them yet, so I shall have to get some to show you! Anyway, this interest means that they are more likely to notice spiders doing funny, or unusual things - although mummy has always been quite good at paying attention to any animal of any shape or size.
