May holidays

Well....mummy and Gav Gav went away last week. They do leave me with a pet sitter but I spend a lot of time alone so I get very clingy. I was so happy when they came back home. I think I should get both mummy and GavGav, AND the pet sitter -  then I will always be spoilt! The pet sitter was very happy as I spoke to her this time - I don't usually I just sit and look pretty ha. Anyway, some more pictures from the garden (the camera didn't work whilst mummy and Gav were away so there is no record for mummy of what came into the garden - I could tell her that there were 2x blue tits, 2x wagtails, a crow and a magpie or two, as well as possibly a hedgehog and the rat, oh and a blackbird, but she prefers to see it with her own eyes!). First of all I thought I would share these Magpie shots with you - I love the effect of the shadow on the fence! Such stunning birds (if a little bit noisy at times).  We managed to capture this in-flight fight between the male wagtail an...

April showers bring May flowers...

...or maybe baby birdies! I know there are lots of babys up by the lakes at the moment (not as many as we are expecting, but hopefully more will come), but the little songbirds etc are still in the nests where it is warmer and safer for them. However it does mean we don't get to see them. Mummy really needs to put a camera inside the nest box next year if the young fledge successfully. So first off we had this greedy crow - who to be fair probably has babies to feed! Then we did actually have our first fledgling into the garden! A magpie baby - who was promptly scared away by the darned rat and hasn't come back since! But the parent was not happy about it haha.  Look at the stunning wing feathers on this adult!! My Wagtail is still making an occasional appearance in the garden - hoping to see his babies once they fledge. And on the first Day of May - a new species - it is a Meerrat! Mummy needs to get the rest of the photos off the came...

More April capers

Well first of all I couldn't carry on with all the fun of the garden, without sharing this photo with you. If you look through the patio doors you can see me preening in the sunshine! What a handsome boy I am indeed! Anyway - we had a weird visitor to the garden (or rather over the garden) in the night. I was sleeping so I have no idea what it was (although mummy was away on holiday so I didn't have my bedtime cover on). Any ideas anybody? It is the smudge/white line, at the top of the bench on the left hand side of the picture! You can see from the one above that there is nothing there. Could it be a bat? This funny crow is the only one of the family visiting the garden at the moment - but he sure loves the peanut butter cups! And then the crow knocked the camera over! So no more photo's while mummy and GavGav were away as nobody stood the camera back up. Also - how strange is it that the pet sitter is never caught on camera hahaha. However, w...
